We had a great time! A special shout out to my mom who made Anderson's vest and shirt (I might need to learn how to sew), to match Woody.

Happy 3rd Birthday!
The dude turned 3 today. It's unbelievable. He was super excited to go to school and have cupcakes and finally get to wear the birthday crown. I think there is only one or two children with birthdays later than his (cuteoff date was June 30th), so he's watched all his classmates celebrate.
I made him pose with Julius one more time. Here is is with him at 1 week, 1 year, 2 years & 3 years old.

Anderson goes to the dentist
Anderson had his first dentist appointment today and I'm pleased to say it was a resounding success! He loved it. The dentist was Bri's pediatric dentist, who also coached soccer with his dad. Needless to say there was a bunch of reminiscing going on.
All that aside, this man is a genius. I wish my dentist growing up was half as nice and funny. A listened to him and his assistant, opened wide and didn't get scared. We were really thrilled.
As a reward A got to pick two prizes (a snake and glasses disguise thing) a sticker and a tattoo. It's the little things that make it great.

Remodel has begun
Well, it has started. We are complete with demo and a the proud owners of pretty much a house with a hole in it. I'm excited to see it begin and imagine the finished product.
On a lighter note, I realized a bonus of having a girl - adorable designer clothes. DVF launched a small partnership with GapKids and baby girl Birkett is the proud owner of her first DVF wrap dress, along with another equally cute sundress. I bought older sizes so she will be out of spit-up, blow out stages and walking around. I figured they would look much cuter on her then. Bri tolerated my splurge fairly well.

A perfect Friday
Work has been challenging lately - that's an understatement. So it was with great pleasure today that I worked with our LOA resource and calculated my maternity leave and sent a formal notice to my boss (just 10 days into her tenure). Return date - Jan 2, 2013 with leave potentially starting as early as June 15. Yes, I am very aware this will be no vacation, but I'll definitely be looking to travel during that time with the bambino once we're all good to go.

Bon Jovi forever
I was tempted to title this post, whoa oh half way there. Alas, I did so back in '08 with my first pregnancy (or at least something very similar). In my defense, hearing/seeing that I'm half way through something always triggers my brain to the chorus of Living on a Prayer. It's the jersey girl in me, apparently it's never going to die. Tim Riggins once said, Texas Forever, to that I say Bon Jovi forever. BTW, if you find yourself wondering who the hell is Tim Riggins, you should feel ashamed. Google, Netflix and then talk to me. I love #33, QB1 and Tammy Taylor, y'all. In fact don't be surprised if this little lady is called lyla or Tyra. Seriously if you haven't watched FNL you missed out on the best television ever created. Just thinking about the series finale makes me tear up, and it's not because of the hormones either.
I digressed. FNL will do that to me. All in all it's been going well. I had a terrible case of sciatica - crap please never let it happen again. It was painful as all get out and I didn't know if I could put pressure on my leg let alone do any sudden movement. It's gone thanks to some miracle work by a chiropractor and a massage. Cross your fingers it stays that way.

It's a ....
...girl! Anderson is going to have a little sister. We were excited either way, but it feels pretty balanced to say we will be having one of each. I haven't checked out the disk of picture we were given, but I don't think there are many clear shotss. Our kids aren't known to sit still and this proves true to her. It took a while to get all of her measurements because of it.
